So why are so many people in such bad physical shape and suffering from all kinds of lifestyle induced
problems ? I have met so many supposedly normal people who cannot hold their own body weight in a plank position or complete a small number of push up's.
What's happening ? Not that long ago in time humans were the fastest animals on the planet, walking and running everywhere gathering food and other necessities of life.
When I meet a new client for the first time I do not worry about their physical conditioning, we can fix that. What I am looking for is where they sit mentally. Do they truly want to make a lifestyle change and will they have the tenacity to follow a fitness regime faithfully ?. If they are in that mental state the rest is easy. All that is needed is a clear direction, time and consistency.
Its up to each individual to decide on how they live out there years, for me its getting up each day feeling energized and ready to enjoy my family and friends, Cycling the trails, swimming, running and generally feeling able to deal with the challenges of life.
